Sunday Group 25/1/26
The day started bright and early, with pick-ups beginning at 8:30am before meeting up and heading off to Torquay for a full day out. On the way, we stopped in Meredith for a toilet break, coffee, and a morning snack — a welcome pause before continuing the drive.
Our first stop was the Torquay Surf Museum, which was a big hit with the group. Everyone enjoyed exploring the exhibits together, with a special highlight being Jacinta and Shae getting the chance to colour in a surfboard sheet that was proudly displayed on the museum wall — a really lovely moment that made them feel included and proud.
After the museum, we headed down near the beach and fired up the BBQ, enjoying sausages and cheeseburgers while taking in the beautiful coastal views. The group was relaxed, happy, and soaking up the sunshine.
The afternoon was all about the beach — some participants chose to go for a swim and absolutely loved the water, while others enjoyed a peaceful walk along the sand at their own pace.
Before heading home, we finished the day with an ice cream stop, the perfect way to wrap up a big summer outing. We left Torquay around 3:30pm and completed drop-offs from about 4:45pm after a really positive, fun-filled day that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
