Your Hubs
Different environments for different support needs
At Ballarat Support Services, we understand that one environment does not suit everyone.
Our hubs are designed to provide choice, safety, and the right level of structure, based on each participant’s needs, preferences, and support requirements.
Each hub operates with its own focus, routines, and suitability criteria — allowing us to match participants to the environment where they are most likely to feel safe, regulated, and supported.
Our hubs are designed to support participants across a range of needs — from social, community-based programs to specialist regulation-first environments.
Below is a brief overview of each hub. Click through to learn more about suitability, routines, and referral pathways.

Alfredton Hub
Latrobe Activity & Leisure Centre
Our established main hub supporting the full range of Ballarat Support Services programs. Alfredton is used for day programs, 1:1 supports, before and after school care, and respite, and features fully accessible bathrooms, multiple activity rooms, a pool, and flexible spaces designed to support participation, choice, and routine.
Our hubs provide structured, safe environments where participants can access a range of supports delivered in small groups or 1:1. Supports are tailored to individual needs, with a strong focus on routine, regulation, and meaningful participation.

A specialist, regulation-first activity environment for participants with complex behaviours or high supervision needs, operating as a restricted recreation facility. This is not an open warehouse space, but a purpose-designed indoor leisure facility with enclosed 1:1 rooms, open group areas, and high ceilings with skylights to support a calm, safe, and welcoming setting. Supports operate with small numbers, consistent staff, and clear routines.
