Sunday Program

Our Weekend Activity Program gives participants the freedom to join in when it suits them — no contracts, no long-term commitment, just easy, enjoyable weekends.
Each week, we post upcoming activities on our website and BSS app, so you can see exactly what’s planned before booking.

From day trips and markets to relaxed pub lunches and creative days at the hub, every weekend offers something different and inclusive.

You can join as often or as little as you like — it’s all about flexibility and choice. Once you’re booked in, our friendly team handles the planning, transport and support so you can just show up and enjoy the day.

What is our Sunday Program?

The Weekend Activity Program is a pre-built schedule of supported community activities run every weekend through Ballarat Support Services.

Each activity is designed to help participants build confidence, connection and independence while having fun in a safe, supported environment.

Our staff are trained to balance support with independence — they’ll assist when needed but give you the space to enjoy your weekend your way.

Activities are capped at small group sizes to keep the experience personal and relaxed. Most outings include meals, social opportunities and light community exploration.

What You Can Do

Every weekend is different. You might spend one Saturday exploring the Portarlington Market, another enjoying a picnic at Lake Wendouree, or a Sunday having lunch at the Elephant & Castle after a scenic drive.

Some weekends we stay local at the hub for BBQs, arts, games and movies, while others take us further afield for day trips to Geelong, Daylesford or Bendigo.

You simply check the schedule, book in through the app or with the team, and you’re set. There’s no lock-in commitment — join when it fits your goals or interests.

If you need to cancel, we only ask for 48 hours’ notice, as staffing and bookings are confirmed ahead of time.

Benefits of Group Based Activities

Freedom and flexibility - Join when it suits you. There’s no ongoing commitment — you simply book into the weekends that interest you and skip the ones that don’t.

Easy planning - All upcoming activities are listed on our website and app, so you can see what’s on and book instantly. Everything — from destination to meal plans — is organised for you.

Low pressure, high enjoyment - Because groups are small and relaxed, you can be as involved or as quiet as you like. It’s a safe space to build confidence without any pressure.

Social connection - Spend time with friendly faces and support staff who know you well. Every weekend is an opportunity to make new connections and strengthen existing ones.

Skill development through real experiences - Every outing naturally supports NDIS goals — things like community participation, communication, social interaction, budgeting, travel and independence.

Predictable and transparent - No surprise costs, no hidden fees — just a clear price when you book. If you need to cancel, our 48-hour cancellation policy keeps things simple and fair for everyone.

Support you can trust - Every activity is supervised by qualified, caring staff who understand each participant’s needs and provide respectful, person-centred support at all times.
