Sunday Groups

The day began with a cheerful bus ride, filled with conversation and plenty of excitement for our trip to the St Kilda Market. When we arrived, the weather wasn’t ideal, so the group shifted plans and explored a nearby area with lots of open shops to browse through. Everyone enjoyed taking their time wandering around before settling in for a relaxed lunch.

Lindy especially enjoyed her souvlaki, and Sophie had a great time admiring all the cakes and slices displayed in the bakery windows — lots of colours and treats to look at! After lunch, the group headed off for another walk to explore more of the area.

Today our Sunday Group headed down to Geelong for a fun-filled day! Ann, Loughlin, Sarah, Will, Ann, and Janice were full of excitement as we hit the road.

Our first stop was the Geelong Art Gallery — unfortunately, we weren’t able to go inside today, but the group quickly came together to plan a new adventure. We headed over to the Barwon Market, where everyone enjoyed browsing the many stalls. Will was particularly interested in the DVDs and all the puppies walking around, while Janice loved checking out the beautiful plants.

Before leaving the market, everyone enjoyed a warm ham donut! From there, we took a scenic drive along the coast before arriving at the Elephant and Castle Hotel for a delicious lunch. The group ordered a variety of meals — from roasts to Parmas — and Ann even enjoyed a lovely glass of wine.

Portarlington Markets & Beach Day

The Sunday group headed down to Portarlington for a fun day out by the coast. The drive was full of good conversation and laughter, with a few bathroom breaks along the way. The warm, sunny weather made it the perfect day to be out and about.

Once we arrived, the group gathered for lunch together by the foreshore, with Ethan cooking up some delicious sausages that were a big hit with everyone. After lunch, we strolled through the Portarlington markets, checking out the stalls and soaking up the lively atmosphere.

As the day warmed up, the group decided to head to the beach to cool off and relax. Will, Xander, and Issy dipped their feet in the water — and in true Will fashion, he couldn’t resist walking right in fully dressed, which had everyone laughing!

Melbourne Aquarium & Picnic in the Gardens

The Sunday group had a fantastic day out exploring the Melbourne Aquarium before enjoying a relaxed picnic lunch at the Melbourne Gardens.

The morning kicked off with plenty of excitement as we made our way into the city. Everyone was eager to check out the aquarium — the penguins were a clear favourite, but the sharks and jellyfish displays definitely stole the show! There were smiles all around as we explored each section, taking in the amazing sea life and snapping a few great photos along the way.

Afterwards, we headed to the Royal Botanic Gardens to enjoy a peaceful picnic lunch under the trees. The weather was perfect, and it was the ideal way to unwind after a big morning of exploring.

A brilliant Sunday full of laughs, learning, and good company — the perfect combination for our weekend group.
