Sunday 9 November – Elephant & Castle, Geelong
Today our Sunday Group headed down to Geelong for a fun-filled day! Ann, Loughlin, Sarah, Will, Ann, and Janice were full of excitement as we hit the road.
Our first stop was the Geelong Art Gallery — unfortunately, we weren’t able to go inside today, but the group quickly came together to plan a new adventure. We headed over to the Barwon Market, where everyone enjoyed browsing the many stalls. Will was particularly interested in the DVDs and all the puppies walking around, while Janice loved checking out the beautiful plants.
Before leaving the market, everyone enjoyed a warm ham donut! From there, we took a scenic drive along the coast before arriving at the Elephant and Castle Hotel for a delicious lunch. The group ordered a variety of meals — from roasts to Parmas — and Ann even enjoyed a lovely glass of wine.
After lunch, we wrapped up the day with a stop for ice cream before making our way home.The highlight of the day was how well the group connected — lots of laughter, smiles, and great company all day long.Despite the change of plans early on, the day ran smoothly and everyone had an amazing time!
