Echuca Escape: Fun-Filled Respite Adventure 1/8/25 - 4/8/25

Day 1: Relaxing Drive and Take Away

What an incredible few days we had on our Echuca respite trip from August 1st to 4th! Our participants were buzzing with excitement from the moment we hit the road. Both cars were filled with laughter, singing, and great conversations, making the journey just as fun as the destination.

Upon arriving at our cozy Echuca home, everyone quickly settled in, chose their rooms, and unpacked. The first evening was all about delicious food – we enjoyed some fantastic pizzas and plenty of lively chat. After a little bit of footy, everyone was ready for a good night's sleep, dreaming of the adventures to come!

Day 2: Sweet Starts & Riverside Strolls

Day two kicked off with a delicious pancake breakfast cooked by Josh and Taylah, complete with maple syrup and fresh strawberries – a perfect start! We then headed into town for a relaxing coffee by the river, soaking in the beautiful morning. A leisurely stroll through the shops led to some sweet indulgence at the lolly and chocolate shop (Fiona, Chloe, and Taylah definitely found some treasures!). Lunch was a treat at Beechworth Bakery, where we refueled with tasty pies and sausage rolls

The afternoon was pure relaxation, spent basking in the glorious sunshine at our house. As evening approached, Taylah got a fire going while Josh fired up the BBQ, leading to a wonderful dinner outdoors. The night wrapped up with some competitive (and hilarious!) games of Uno. What a brilliant day all around!

Day 3: Steamboat Serenity & Parma Perfection

We started our third day bright and early with a fantastic breakfast prepared by Chloe and Josh, offering a delightful array of options. The highlight of the morning was an exciting steamboat ride, where we snagged front-row seats for the best views – everyone absolutely loved it! After returning for some tasty roast chicken rolls for lunch, we embraced the beautiful weather by relaxing outdoors for the rest of the afternoon.

For dinner, we ventured into Echuca to the famous Shamrock Hotel, renowned for its incredible parmas. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their delicious meals, perhaps a little too much! It was another amazing day, and although we were all sad to think about heading home, we left with fantastic memories.
