Thursday 6 November — Sovereign Hill Day Trip

The group arrived around 9 am for Thursday group and began the morning preparing a range of lovely wraps and rolls in readiness for our big trip to Sovereign Hill.

After 10 am we headed off for what turned out to be a fantastic day out. Once inside Sovereign Hill, everyone explored the many shops — and the lolly shop was definitely the favourite! Rosie, Loughlin and Anneliese were caught up choosing all sorts of sweets, with the famous raspberry drops being a big hit.

We also attended the Gold Pour Show, which everyone found fascinating. Jemmerson asked plenty of great questions and the group was really engaged throughout the presentation. Afterwards we made our way up the hill to try some old-style bowling, where Amanda and Barnsey showed off their bowling skills and had a great time.

Around 1 pm we headed back to the hub for a relaxed afternoon. Some participants enjoyed quiet games, while others settled in for a movie before drop-offs began about 3:30 pm — a wonderful end to a golden day together.
