Monday 10 November — Wildlife Park & BBQ at the Hub
Everyone arrived at the hub around 9am, ready to kick off another great Monday together. The morning began with hot drinks and snacks — plenty of coffees and hot chocolates to go around — before the group headed off to the Ballarat Wildlife Park at 10am.
The visit was a big hit with everyone! Stephen especially loved feeding the kangaroos, while Jemmerson was very engaged, asking lots of great questions to the zookeeper. The group spent around an hour and a half exploring the park, with the highlight being the tiger feeding — the boys found it fascinating to watch up close.
Returning to the hub around midday, we fired up the new Weber BBQ for a delicious lunch. Several of the boys helped prepare the meat, and everyone enjoyed a fun, social meal outside with lots of laughter and conversation.
After lunch, everyone pitched in to tidy up — cleaning the BBQ, wiping down tables, and vacuuming the hub — before enjoying a relaxed afternoon. Some jumped on the computers, others watched a movie or played cards, and we wrapped up the day all together watching Shrek, which was a huge hit.
Drop-offs began around 3:30pm, wrapping up a wonderful Monday filled with fun, food, and great company.
