Chris Jew

Director

Chris has been immersed in the world of aged care and disability support from a young age, growing up in a family home that provided care to the community since 2000. By the age of 15, Chris was actively working alongside his parents, gaining first-hand experience in supporting people with diverse needs.

Driven to build his skills, Chris completed a Certificate IV in Aged Care and Disability, which led to a role at a leading disability provider in Ballarat in 2015. Over the next five years, he specialised in high physical support, working with individuals with mobility challenges, including those recovering from strokes, living with quadriplegia, or managing degenerative conditions. This hands-on work gave Chris a deep understanding — both practical and technical — of supporting people with complex physical needs.

In the years that followed, Chris joined his mother in running a disability service, expanding his expertise into the operational side of the industry. He learned the intricacies of the NDIS, managing staff, coordinating participant services, and ensuring the highest standard of care.

In 2022, Chris founded Ballarat Support Services, driven by his passion to create a service that reflects his values: genuine care, strong community connection, and a commitment to helping people live with dignity, independence, and choice. Today, as Director, Chris continues to lead BSS with the same dedication that’s been at the heart of his journey from the very beginning.
