At Ballarat Support Services, our Day Program is designed around one simple idea — smaller groups make bigger differences.
We believe that meaningful outcomes come from genuine connection. That’s why our Day Program focuses on individual goals, confidence-building, and community participation, rather than large, generic sessions.
A Typical Day
Each day at our Alfredton hub starts with a plan built around our participants’ interests and needs.Activities may include:
Cooking, gardening, and creative projects
Gentle exercise or walks at Lake Wendouree
Community visits
Skill building such as money management or communication practice
Every activity is supported by trained staff who know each participant personally and understand how to balance fun, learning, and structure.
Why Smaller Groups Work
Smaller groups mean:
More one-on-one time with staff
Better attention to individual support plans
Stronger friendships and positive peer interactions
Less sensory overwhelm and more predictable routines
This approach ensures every participant feels seen, supported, and part of something that truly suits them.
Accessibility and Cost
Our Day Program is fully accessible and based out of our Alfredton hub.Participants can use NDIS Core or Capacity Building funding, and there’s no out-of-pocket cost for group activities.
Transport is available through our wheelchair-accessible vehicles, making it easier for everyone to attend comfortably.
Enrolment and Availability
Places in the Day Program are limited to maintain small group sizes.Families and Support Coordinators are encouraged to reach out early to discuss available days and suitability.
You can schedule a Meet & Greet or enquire directly through our website.
