Monday 24 November — Strawberry Picking & Torquay Fish & Chips

All the boys arrived at the hub in great moods after enjoying their weekends, and everyone was pumped for the big day ahead. We jumped straight onto the bus and headed down to Armstrong Creek, with some tunes playing to set the vibe for the morning.

Our first stop was the strawberry farm, where everyone grabbed a container and headed out to pick fresh strawberries to take home to their families. A few definitely disappeared before making it into the buckets — but that’s all part of the fun. Once everyone was stocked up with berries, we hopped back on the bus and made our way to sunny Torquay.

For lunch, we grabbed fish and chips from the local shop and took it down to a table by the waterfront. James was especially a big fan of the potato cakes. After lunch, most of the boys slipped into a bit of a food coma, so we loaded back onto the bus and began the trip home to Ballarat, with Stephen taking over as DJ and putting on Christmas songs for the drive.

By the time we arrived back at the hub, Lochie and Jemmerson were completely wiped out from the strawberry picking and big lunch — but it was well worth it. It was a great day out in the sun and a perfect chance to enjoy some warm weather for a change.
